Brandon Dorlus attended the University of Oregon. Dorlus began playing as early as his freshman year and recorded his first career sack in 2019. He continued to improve and got his first career start in the 2020 Pac-12 Championship game.

Dorlus had a breakthrough year in 2021, earning first-team All-Pac-12 accolades across the board. He started 13 games and had career-highs in tackles, tackles for loss, and sacks. Dorlus was a standout pass rusher, earning an 82.3 rating from Pro Football Focus, which ranked him first among Pac-12 interior defensive linemen.

Dorlus maintained his upward rise in 2022, starting all 13 games and garnering Second-Team All-Pac-12 recognition. He led the Ducks with 9.5 tackles for loss and had a career-high 2.5 sacks. Dorlus' ability to apply pressure was clear, as Pro Football Focus credited him with 40 quarterback hurries, tied for ninth among all FBS defenders. His strong efforts earned him two Pac-12 Defensive Lineman of the Week awards.

Brandon Dorlus finished his undergraduate career with a successful senior season for the Oregon Ducks. He led the team with five sacks and was a disruptive presence on the defensive line, receiving First-Team All-Pac-12 recognition from many sources.

Brandon Dorlus’s High School

Dorlus attended Calvary Christian High School in Clearwater, Florida before transferring to Deerfield Beach High School in Deerfield Beach, Florida. He had first committed to Virginia Tech to play collegiate football before switching to the University of Oregon. He also entered the top 100 overall ranks in Florida, finishing at No. 80. According to the 247Sports Composite, he is the country's No. 56 strong-side defensive end.

Dorlus attended Deerfield Beach High School in Florida, where he was a two-year letterman under Coach Jevon Glenn. After a successful senior season, he was named first-team All-Broward County by both the Sun Sentinel and the Miami Herald. He helped Deerfield Beach go 12-2, win the district title, and advance to the state quarterfinals.

Dorlus was a formidable presence on the field. He concluded his senior year with an amazing stat line of 74 tackles, 27 tackles for loss, 11 sacks, three forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries, and an interception recovered for a score. Brandon's choice to attend the Oregon Ducks after a protracted recruiting process. He had offers from top college football schools such as Auburn, Baylor, Clemson, Florida, and many more. Ultimately, he selected Oregon over a startling 30 scholarships.
