Gauff is currently ranked No. 3 in the world and won her first grand slam title at the 2023 US Open at the age of 19. With the win, she became the youngest American player to win the US Open since Serena Williams in 1999. Her other grand slam achievements include reaching the finals of the 2022 French Open and the semifinals of the 2024 Australian Open.

Gauff's tennis journey began at the age of six, under her father's guidance, and she won the USTA Clay Court National 12-and-under title at the age of 10 years and three months, becoming the youngest champion in the tournament's history.
