Maria Sakkari is a 28-year-old Greek professional tennis player who has won two WTA singles titles to date, including the 2019 Morocco Open and the 2023 Guadalajara Open. She achieved a career-high singles ranking of World No. 3 in March 2021, and is currently ranked No. 8. She made her Grand Slam debut at the 2015 US Open, where she defeated Anastasija Sevastova, An-Sophie Mestach, and Petra Martic in the qualifying rounds.
