George Peter DeBoer is a former Canadian ice hockey player and as of November 2024, he serves as head coach for the Dallas Stars. He is a co-owner of the Oshawa Generals in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL). DeBoer has earned the Coach of the Year award twice in the OHL. He took on the role of head coach for multiple teams, including the Detroit Whalers and Kitchener Rangers. During his time with the Kitchener, he led them to win the Memorial Cup in 2003.

Beyond the OHL, Peter took on the role of head coach for various other teams in the NHL. He served for the Florida Panthers from 2008 to 2011, the New Jersey Devils from 2011 to 2014, the San Jose Sharks from 2015 to 2019, and the Vegas Golden Knights from 2020 to 2022.
