Sidney Crosby is a Canadian ice hockey player in the National Hockey League. He was drafted by the Pittsburgh Penguins as the first overall pick in the 2005 NHL Entry draft and is serving as captain for the Penguins, as of January 2025. He started his junior hockey journey with the Rimouski Oceanic where he achieved a lot of accolades and helped his team to the 2005 Memorial Cup Finals.

Crosby debuted in the NHL during the 2005-2006 season. He became a runner-up for the Calder Memorial Trophy, given to the Rookie of the Year. He had a contribution of 102 points in his rookie season. Crosby soon reached the 100-point score in a single NHL season and became the youngest player ever to do that. Sidney was named as the captain of the Penguins in the 2007-2008 season. He led the Penguins to the Stanley Cup Finals in 2008 but they were ultimately defeated by the Detroit Red Wings in six games. However, the Penguins managed to reach the Stanley Cup Finals in 2009 and this time, they claimed the victory. Sidney became the youngest captain at the age of 21 years to lead his team to win this prestigious trophy. As of 2025, the Penguins have won three Stanley Cups under the captaincy of Sidney Crosby in 2009, 2016, and 2017

Troy was drafted by the Montreal Canadiens in 1984 but he never played in the National Hockey League.
