Seven-year veteran guard Kelsey Mitchell, born on November 12, 1995, in Cincinnati, Ohio, is a basketball player for the Indiana Fever in the WNBA. She started her basketball journey at Princeton High School before joining Ohio State University’s college team, where she was named the Big Ten Conference Women's Basketball co-Player of the Year twice, in 2015 and 2018, and also secured the Big Ten Player of the Year award in 2017.

Her impressive college career led to her being selected second overall by the Indiana Fever in the 2018 WNBA draft. She quickly made her mark, earning a spot on the All-Rookie Team in her debut season. Off the court, Mitchell is an outspoken advocate for social issues, a commitment that earned her the Dawn Staley Community Leadership Award in 2023 by the WNBA governing body. In the 2024 season, as of August 2024, she averaged 17.7 points, 1.9 assists, and 2.3 rebounds per game playing alongside Caitlin Clark as a shooting guard.
