Hailing from Killeen, Texas, O'Neale honed his basketball skills at Harker Heights High School before continuing his basketball journey at the collegiate level. He initially attended the University of Denver from 2011 to 2013 before transferring to Baylor University, where he played from 2013 to 2015.
