Eric Staal made his professional debut in the NHL when he was selected by the Carolina Hurricanes in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft. He led the team to the Stanley Cup in 2006, where they won against the Edmonton Oilers, and in that match, Eric scored 28 points. Eric was named captain of the Edmonton Oilers in 2010.
