Isaiah Williams played his college football for the Illinois Fighting Illini and was the wide receiver for the team. He started his college football career in 2019 and played for five seasons before declaring for the 2024 NFL draft. He is a three-year starter who increased his production every single season he played for the Fighting Illini.

While he lacks the ideal size to play the receiver spot, the man is no scrub. He is an above-average route runner but his 4.63 second 40-yard dash time at the Combine might hurt his draft stock. However, what Williams does have is his willingness to compete and he was also a quarterback in high school which could lead to him being a run/pass player in the future. The only skill he needs is to run faster with the football to be a starting-level receiver in the NFL.

Williams started his college football career in 2019 and in his true freshman season, he played in four games and had 3 receptions and 9 receiving yards. Williams was the quarterback at Illinois for his first two seasons in 2019 and 2020 and in the 2020 season, he played in six games and had 393 passing yards, 4 touchdown passes, and 2 interceptions.

Prior to the 2021 season, Williams decided to switch his position to wide receiver and for the season he recorded 525 receiving yards, 47 receptions, and 6 touchdowns from scrimmage. In 2022, Williams had 82 receptions, 715 receiving yards and 5 receiving touchdowns. For his final season, Williams went on to have his best statistical season with 1055 receiving yards and 5 receiving touchdowns, showing improvement each season he played. For his efforts in 2023, Williams was named to the First-team All-Big Ten.
