Elena Rybakina is a world-class tennis player and is ranked No. 4 in the world as of May 2024. She made history at the 2022 Wimbledon, by becoming the first player from Kazakhstan to win a grand slam title. Rybakina, who was born in Moscow, Russia however, representing Kazakhstan since 2018, has won eight WTA singles titles in her career so far, including one grand slam, and two WTA 1000 titles. She won her first WTA singles title in 2019 at the Bucharest Open, a month after turning 20 years old.


Elena Rybakina's journey to the top has been not easy because she struggled to make an impact on the tour in her early years. She finished semifinalist at the 2024 Madrid Open, where she lost to Aryna Sabalenka despite winning the first set. She also finished runners-up at the 2024 Miami Open, where she lost to Danielle Collins.

Rybakina won her first WTA 1000 singles title in Indian Wells in 2023 and became the first woman player in history to beat both the World No.1 and No.2 in the same year at the tournament.
