
The new set of rankings, released by the WTA, sees Aryna Sabalenka continue to hold the World No. 1 position as of September 2025. Nine WTA 1000 events and four majors, including two at the Australian Open and two at the US Open, are among Sabalenka's 21 WTA Tour-level singles victories. Together with Elise Mertens, she has won six doubles championships, including the 2019 US Open and the 2021 Australian Open.
As this week's ranking is released, Sabalenka is at 11225 points, and she leads Iga Swiatek by more than 3000 points. Coco Gauff has slipped to number 3, and after Amanda Anisimova has roared back into the top 5 after reaching the US Open final.
