Cole Caufield is a talented American ice hockey winger playing with the Montreal Canadiens in the National Hockey League (NHL). He was selected 15th overall by the Canadiens in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft. Caufield started his NHL journey with the Montreal Canadiens after signing an entry-level contract on March 27, 2021. Cole scored his first NHL goal on May 1, 2021, and showcased stellar performances in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. He recently signed an eight-year extension contract with the Montreal Canadiens for $62.8 million in 2023, showing his commitment to the Canadiens for future seasons.

Internationally, Caufield has represented the United States at various international competitions including the World Junior Championships, World U-18 Championships and World U-17 Hockey Challenge. Beginning with the World U-17 Hockey Challenge, he tallied eight goals and five assists across six games, helping the U.S. National team secure a gold medal. Additionally, he was named to the U17 WHC All-Star Team. During the 2018 IIHF World U-18 Championship, Caufield scored six points across seven games, helping the team win a silver medal. The following season, Caufield carried his stellar form in the five Nations Cup in the Czech Republic. The team eventually won the tournament with Caufield contributing seven goals and two assists over four games. The following year, Caufield tied Alex Ovechkin's single tournament goals record with 14 goals scored at the 2019 IIHF World U-18 Championship. The team won the bronze medal that year and Caufield was named the most valuable player, best forward and to the U18 WJC All-Star Team for the tournament. In the 2021 IIHF World Junior Championship, he recorded two assists in seven games, helping the team win a gold medal.

Where does Cole Caufield live?

Cole Caufield moved to Montreal as a professional commitment with the Montreal Canadiens. He is currently living in a rental apartment and it may not be a long-term commitment. His decision not to buy his own house is the rising housing property in Montreal. Also his contract may not provide him with enough financial flexibility to purchase a home.

In an interview, Caufield revealed that Nick Suzuki helped him set up the new house. He spent two hours at Ikea with Caufield doing furniture shopping.
