The Golden State Valkyries are the new 13th team in the WNBA and the first expansion team since 2008. They are based in San Francisco and are owned by Joe Lacob, who also owns the Golden State Warriors. The Valkyries play at the Chase Center. Natalie Nakase is the head coach. She is the first Asian American woman to lead a WNBA team and helped build the team’s first roster during the 2024 expansion draft. Golden State Valkyries 2025 Regular Season Schedule

The Golden State Valkyries began their first WNBA season on May 16, 2025, at Chase Center against the Los Angeles Sparks. They are playing a 44-game schedule, 22 of which are home games, with 14 of those being on weekends and eight on weekdays. The team will have two five-game homestands: the first from June 19 to June 29, and the second from August 30 to September 6, according to the official website of the Golden State Valkyries
