Red Sox's Price leaves game after taking line drive to wrist
Boston Red Sox pitcher David Price left his start against the Miami Marlins on Wednesday after he took a line drive off the bat of Austin Dean to his wrist.
Price went into the clubhouse immediately after the third inning was over and the Red Sox did not initially warm up a reliever to take his spot.
However, after a few minutes, and a Mookie Betts home run which cut the Marlins' lead to 3-2, the Red Sox started warming up Hector Velazquez to take Price's spot.
Velazquez then took the mound to start the top of the fourth inning as Price was out of the game.
Boston announced Price had a wrist contusion.
