Danilo Gallinari, also known as “Gallo,” is an Italian professional basketball player renowned for his offensive ability to fit the role of a stretch 4 for his team. He is currently playing for the Milwaukee Bucks as a forward. Gallinari was born on August 8, 1988 in Italy.

His basketball journey began early, playing for professional teams at an age of 16. He quickly began to make a name for himself in international basketball by winning awards such as Italian League MVP and two consecutive Italian League Best Player U-22.

Declaring for the NBA draft in 2008, Gallinari was selected as the 6th overall pick by the New York Knicks, marking the start of an on-going 15-year career for the forward. Furthermore, he is considered to be one of the most prolific free throw shooters, averaging 87% from the free throw line.

In spite of proving to be a powerful offensive weapon, Gallinari’s NBA career has been characterised by being a part of multiple blockbuster trades. These trades have led him to play for multiple NBA teams such as San Antonio Spurs, Atlanta Hawks and Milwaukee Bucks to name a few.
