The Toronto Raptors are one of the more recognizable franchises in the NBA today. With players like Scottie Barnes, Pascal Siakam, and OG Anunoby, the Raptors have one of the best young cores in the NBA and are always a threat to make a deep playoff run.

The franchise is owned by Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment and coached by Darko Rajakovic, who was appointed in June 2023.

In an amazing turn of events, the Raptors hoisted their championship trophy in Oracle Arena, the last game in that arena as it was going to be demolished. The Bay Area fans would have liked to see the Warriors win their final game ever in that arena, but the Raptors had other plans.

The Raptors were established in 1995 as an expansion team. Quickly, they rebuilt around Vince Carter and Tracy McGrady and became a solid playoff team. However, the taste of championship glory was something that was always evading the Raptors. They finally broke the curse in 2019, and have won one championship till date.

With Kawhi Leonard joining the team as the newest Raptor, the Raptors had newfound energy and believed wholeheartedly that it was going to be their season. With Leonard along with key pieces Kyle Lowry, Pascal Siakam and Fred VanVleet, the Raptors fulfilled their destiny and won the NBA Finals, defeating the Golden State Warriors in six games.
