Tennis has been on and off from the list of sports featured in the South Asian Games. The 2019 edition of SAG includes tennis which will be played at the International Sports Complex at Satdobato from Dec 2 to 9, 2019.
The events taking place under tennis are - Men’s and Women’s team events, Men’s and Women’s singles, Men’s and Women’s doubles, and Mixed Doubles.
Performance of major countries
In the last edition of the Games, India dominated in Tennis with an overall 10 medal haul, 5 Gold and 5 Silver. Sri Lanka and Pakistan were placed 2nd and 3rd, respectively.
India will not participate in Tennis in this year’s edition of SAG.
