The annual US Open is a hardcourt tennis tournament held in Queens, New York. Except for 2020, the US Open has always been the year's fourth and last Grand Slam event chronologically since 1987; it is held after the Australian Open, French Open, and Wimbledon. The 2024 US Open will be held at The USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows-Corona Park, Queens, New York City, from August 24, 2025, to September 7, 2025, with the qualifying rounds starting from August 18, 2025.
The event, which was formerly known as the U.S. National Championship, is one of the oldest tennis tournaments in the world. The end of World Wars I and II, as well as the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, had no bearing on it. It was the only Grand Slam that was not canceled. The tournament features men's and women's singles, men's and women's doubles, and mixed doubles as its five main championships. The tournament also features wheelchair, senior, and junior events.
