Mark Sone is a Canadian ice hockey player and the captain of the Vegas Golden Knights. After a successful stint with the Winnipeg Thrashers in the Manitoba Midget 'AAA' Hockey League, Mark Stone embarked on his major junior career with the Brandon Wheat Kings of the Western Hockey League (WHL) in 2008–09. During this debut season, he tallied 39 points in 56 games, showcasing his skills and tying for 12th in WHL rookie scoring. Stone's playoff performance included four points (one goal and three assists) over 12 games. Mark Stone began his NHL journey with the Ottawa Senators in 2012, making a notable debut during the playoffs. As the years went by, he became a key player for the Senators. In 2019, Stone was traded to the Vegas Golden Knights, where he signed a significant eight-year contract extension. His contributions to the team, including finishing as the league leader earned him a nomination for the Frank J. Selke Trophy. Stone's first season with the Golden Knights saw a memorable playoff moment with his first career hat-trick, though the team was ultimately eliminated.
