
Russell Westbrook III is an American professional baksetball player born on November 12, 1988, in Long Beach, California, U.S. As of May 2025, he plays for the Denver Nuggets in the NBA. Westbrook was the fourth overall pick in the first round of the 2008 NBA Draft by the Seattle SuperSonics (now known as the Oklahoma City Thunder). Before joining the Nuggets, Westbrook played for the Los Angeles Clippers, the Los Angeles Lakers, the Washington Wizards, the Houston Rockets, and the Thunder. Westbrook was named the NBA All-Star Game MVP in 2015 and 2016. He was named the 2017 NBA Most Valuable Player and the NBA scoring champion in 2015 and 2017.
Westbrook graduated from Leuzinger High School located in Lawndale, California, United States. He averaged 25.1 points, 8.7 rebounds, 3.1 steals and 2.3 assists per game during his senior season as per his college roster.
