The Memphis Showboats will play their first season in the United States Football League in 2023, their first at Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium, and their first under head coach/general manager tandem Todd Haley and Dave Razzano.

They are one of the eight members of the United States Football League (USFL) as a member of the South Division. The Showboats, coached by Todd Haley, will play their home games at Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium for the 2023 USFL season. The team's full schedule for the 2023 season was released on March 22, 2023, and they will open the season on April 15 against the Philadelphia Stars in Memphis.

Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium is the home field of the Memphis Showboats, a professional American football team based in Memphis, Tennessee. The Showboats are one of the eight members of the United States Football League (USFL) and will play their home games at the stadium for the 2023 USFL season. The team was originally founded in 1984 and played in the USFL until the league folded in 1985. The Showboats were known for their high-powered offense, led by quarterback Walter Lewis and running back Tim Spencer. The team was coached by Pepper Rodgers and played its home games at the Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium, which was later renamed Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium.
