Myneni's run ends at Fergana Challenger
New Delhi, Jun 23 (PTI) Indian qualifier Saketh Myneni's fabulous run at the ATP Fergana Challenger in Uzbekistan ended with defeat in both singles and doubles today.
Myneni, whose progress was halted by a foot injury last season, lost his singles semifinal 4-6 7-5 0-6 to top seeded Serbian Nikola Milojevic, ranked 184.
Later, Myneni combined with compatriot N Vijay Sundar Prashanth for the doubles summit clash which they lost 4-6 4-6 to Russian team of Ivan Gakhov and Alexander Pavlioutchenkov.
Myneni, whose ranking has plummeted to 447, earned crucial 38 points, including five from the Qualifiers, from the tournament and is likely to gain several places when new rankings will be issued tomorrow.
