Tunisian tennis player Ons Jabeur achieved a career-high singles ranking of No. 2 in June 2022, and is ranked No. 10 by the WTA as of June 2024. She has won five WTA singles titles till date, including the 2023 Ningbo Open. In 2023, she also won the Charleston Open, where she defeated Belinda Bencic 7-6, 6-4 in the final.


Jabeur won her first WTA 1000 title at the Madrid Open in 2022, where she defeated Jessica Pegula in the final in three sets. She also reached the Grand Slam singles final three times in her career, twice in Wimbledon (2022, 2023) and once at the US Open (2022).



At the 2024 Madrid Open, she lost to Madison Keys in the quarterfinals. She made it to the 2024 French Open quarterfinals before falling to Coco Gauff, which was her best grand slam performance of the current season. Jabeur also advanced to the 2024 Grass Court Championship quarterfinals, giving a walkover to Coco Gauff.



Ons Jabeur is a right-handed player who uses a variety of shots to confuse opponents, especially slice and drop shots. Jabeur also appeared in the popular Netflix documentary Break Point, which was released on January 13, 2023. Jabeur is the highest-ranked African and Arab tennis player in WTA and ATP rankings history.

Ons Jabeur is a Tunisian national and currently resides in Sousse, Tunisia, with her husband, Karim Kamoun. She was coached by Nabil Malik for nearly 10 years when she was in school and later moved to Tunis to train at the Lycee Sportif Menzah to develop her skills. Kamoun is also Jabeur’s current fitness coach.
