On July 26, 2004, Coulibaly was born in Saint-Cloud, France. He initially attended the Courbevoie Sport Basket to start his basketball career and eventually began to play for the Paris-based club Levallois Sporting Club in 2017.
By the age of 21, Coulibaly made his debut for the Metropolitans 92 in the Under-21 league of LNB Espoirs. Here, he averaged 21.9 ppg and 2.6 steals per game. Due to his impactful performance he was promoted to play for the senior team. After playing for the Metropolitans 92 for one season, he declared for the 2023 draft.
