Jordan Walsh is an American basketball player for the Boston Celtics. He is a promising small forward standing 6 feet 7 inches tall with an impressive 7-foot-2 wingspan. The Sacramento Kings selected Walsh with the 38th overall pick in the second round of the 2023 NBA Draft and was later traded to the Boston Celtics. Born on March 3, 2004, in Dallas, Texas, Jordan Walsh grew up in DeSoto, Texas. Walsh initially attended Faith Family Academy in Dallas and then he transferred to Link Academy in Branson, Missouri, for his senior year. At Link Academy, Walsh averaged 15.3 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per game, as he was rated a five-star recruit and was selected to play in the 2022 McDonald's All-American Boys Game.

After high school, Walsh played college basketball at the University of Arkansas. In one and done season at Arkansas, Walsh averaged 7.1 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 1.1 steals per game. After getting drafted, Walsh spent his first professional season primarily in the NBA G League, where he showcased his potential by averaging 14.4 points, 5.6 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 1.5 steals, and 0.4 blocks per game. His great performances earned him a four-year, $7.6 million contract with the Celtics. While he remains primarily a G League player, the Celtics have high hopes for his development and believe he can become an essential part of their future.
