Walsh finished his school career playing for the Link Academy, and as a senior, he averaged 15.3 points, 7.2 rebounds and 3.1 assists. He was also part of the top-rated class in school history, with six players on the ESPN and SI top 100 lists and the 2022 Razorback signing class that ranked No. 2 nationally. Walsh played his only college season for the Arkansas Razorbacks. He appeared in 36 games, more games than any freshman in their program’s history, while starting 22 games. He averaged 7.1 points and 3.9 rebounds per game, as per his college profile.
On April 19, 2023, Walsh declared himself for the 2023 NBA draft. He later got drafted by the Sacramento Kings as a 38th overall pick; however, he was traded to the Boston Celtics.
