Walsh joined the NBA when he was drafted as the 38th overall pick in the second round of the 2023 NBA draft by the Sacramento Kings. He played college basketball for the Arkansas Razorbacks men's basketball team, which competes in the Southeastern Conference. Walsh posted four points and grabbed two rebounds while taking a victory from North Dakota State on November 7, 2022. As a freshman, he appeared in 36 games, scoring 255 points, grabbing 141 rebounds, and creating 33 successful opportunities as per his college profile.
