How tall is Kyrie Irving?

Kyrie Irving is a ball handling wizard to say the least. The offensive display that Irving puts on, is must-watch TV. NBA legend, Isiah Thomas, once said “Kyrie has moves that will make you go home and cry to your mama.”

When we talk about a “bag” in the NBA, it means the skillset and the amount of moves that a player has in his arsenal. Irving has the deepest bag in the NBA and it is not even close. The way Irving can knock down heavily contested shots, from anywhere on the floor, is amazing to watch. There are multiple reports on how Irving sometimes likes to play one on five, just to make his training more challenging.

Despite his skills, Irving has been involved in multiple controversies, which has kept him out of action many times. Some examples are him not taking COVID-19 vaccine, or him promoting an antisemitic film. These situations kept him out of many games and it would sometimes lead to his team struggling.

Irving so far has one ring alongside Lebron James, while playing for the Cleveland Cavaliers. He knocked down arguably the biggest shot in Game 7 of the 2016 NBA Finals, against the Golden State Warriors. This shot still haunts Stephen Curry because he knocked down the three over him. Kyrie and Lebron went bizarre in the Finals and they also had a game where both the players scored 40 in Game 5.

Irving currently plays for the Dallas Mavericks alongside Luka Doncic. The duo have looked lethal in some of the games they have played together. The only problem with the duo is defense, as both the players are below average defenders. The Mavericks have also added another talent in Grant Williams, who will most certainly help the group make a deep run in the playoffs.

Irving is currently listed at 6 feet 2 inches. He is not the biggest player in the NBA, but is arguably the most skilled point guard in the league. If the defenders are bigger than Irving, he uses his quickness, ball handling, and creativity to finish plays.

Irving is one of the most unguardable players in the league. Opposition defenses have absolute fits trying to stop him from putting the ball in the hole. When asked about his ball handling, Irving says he has the footwork to go along with the ball handling which makes his moves so lethal.

Before the Nets, Irving played for the Boston Celtics where he spent two seasons. The organization and Irving did not accomplish much. This is because Irving was injured during the 2018 playoffs and the year after, the Celtics were knocked out by the Milwaukee Bucks.

The team that drafted Irving was the Cleveland Cavaliers. He won his one and only championship with LeBron James in 2016. He left the team because he reportedly wanted to lead his own team and not play under any other superstar’s leadership.

Irving is still in his prime and is looking for his second championship. It was reported that Irving left LeBron and the Cavs in 2017 because he wanted to lead his own team. The Cavs were a LeBron led team and Irving did not want to be under Lebron’s shadow anymore. This decision, till this day, has not been proven to be fruitful since he has not had much playoff success after departing from the Cavs.
