Patrick Lee Williams is an American professional basketball player for the Chicago Bulls in the NBA. He played college basketball for the Florida State Seminoles. Born in Charlotte, North Carolina, Williams grew up in Charlotte and attended West Charlotte High School. He played all 4 years for his school and put up averages of 20.7 points, 7.7 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 2.8 steals in his junior season which improved to 22.1 points, 9.0 rebounds, 2.8 blocks, and 3.1 assists per game in his senior year. He was a four-star recruit who led his team to the 4A State Championship game. Williams played in the 2019 Jordan Brand Classic.
He chose to go to Florida state over other prestigious programs such as Arizona, Clemson, and Texas Tech. in his freshman season, he averaged 9.2 points, 4.0 rebounds, and one block per game and was named to the ACC All-Freshman team and the conference Sixth Man of the Year at the end of the regular season. After his freshman season, he declared for the draft and was selected fourth overall by the Chicago Bulls.
