Tobias Harris, a basketball forward for the Detroit Pistons, has been with the latter since July 2024. Originally chosen by the Charlotte Bobcats (Charlotte Hornets) as the 19th pick in the first round of the 2011 NBA Draft, he was later traded to the Milwaukee Bucks. He was traded to the Orlando Magic in February 2013, then the Detroit Pistons in 2016, and then the Los Angeles Clippers in 2018. The next season, in 2019, he was traded to the Philadelphia 76ers, signing a five-year contract, and in 2024, he was again signed by the Pistons. In his 14-year-long career with the NBA, he has played in 908 games, starting 788, averaging 16.2 points, 2.4 assists and 6.2 rebounds as of November 13, 2024.

The Islip, New York native, Harris went to Half Hollow High School West in Dix Hills. He attended Long Island Lutheran Middle and High School in Brookville for his junior year but returned to Half Hollow for his senior season, graduating as a five-star recruit. Prior to declaring for the NBA Draft, he played for just one season at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville in the 2010-11 season. During his time in college, he was named Mr. New York Basketball and the 2010 McDonald's All-American. Furthermore, he made the first team Parade-All-American in 2010 and the SEC All-Freshman Team and second team All-SEC coaches in 2011.

Further, Harris missed six straight games owing to health and safety protocols after testing positive for COVID-19 on November 1, 2021. On October 30, 2021, following the Philadelphia 76ers vs. Atlanta Hawks game, he tested positive. He returned on November 11 in a game against the Toronto Raptors, which the Sixers eventually lost.

Knee Injury (Apr 2024)

Tobias Harris suffered a hyperextension of his left knee during a Philadelphia 76ers game against the Oklahoma City Thunder on April 2, 2024. He missed three games because of this injury, but he made a comeback on April 9 against the Detroit Pistons and the 76ers.

Ankle Injury (Mar 2024)
