Victor Oladipo is an American professional basketball player who plays as a guard for the Indiana Pacers of the NBA. He majored in sports communications/ broadcast major at Indiana University where he was named the Sporting News Men's College Basketball Player of the Year, the Co-NABC Defensive Player of the Year, and won the Adolph Rupp Trophy in 2013.
Oladipo was drafted with the 2nd pick in the 2013 NBA draft by the Orlando Magic and was named to the NBA All-Rookie first team after averaging 13.8 points per game. During the 2014 all-star weekend, he participated in the Rising Stars Challenge and the Taco Bell Skills Challenge. In January 2015 he had back-to-back 30-point games for the first time in his career. During the 2015 NBA All-Star Weekend, Oladipo took part in the Rising Stars Challenge and the Slam Dunk Contest, finishing second in the dunk contest.
During June 2016, Oladipo was traded, to the Oklahoma City Thunder. He made his debut for Oklahoma in their season opener against the Philadelphia 76ers. On July 6, 2017, Oladipo was traded, along with Domantas Sabonis, to the Indiana Pacers in for Paul George. His first season with the Pacers turned out to be his breakthrough season in the NBA as he was named the NBA Most Improved Player. He was named as an All-star and was also named in the NBA All-Defensive First Team after averaging 23.1 points, 4.3 assists, 5.2rebounds and 2.4 steals per game.
