Nicolas Jarry is a professional tennis player from Chile who is ranked No. 23 in singles as of March 2024. He achieved his career-high ranking of No. 18 on January 8, 2024. Born on October 11, 1995, in Santiago, Chile, Jarry comes from a tennis loving family. He is the grandson of former ATP player Jaime Fillol, who won seven titles, and the nephew of Alvaro Fillol, who won five doubles titles. Also, his aunt, Catalina Fillol, is the tournament director of the Chile Open, which will be held in February 2024.

Jarry has won three ATP singles titles in his career so far, including the Swedish Open (2019), the Chile Open (2023) and the Geneva Open (2023). He has also won two ATP doubles titles. He reached his second Masters quarterfinal at the 2024 Miami Open after registering a win against No. 8 Casper Ruud. However, he lost to Daniil Medvedev with the scorecard of 6-2, 7-6.

Jarry's best grand slam performance was at the 2023 French Open, where he reached the fourth round. He also reached the quarterfinals of the 2024 Chile Open, where he lost to Corentin Moutet.

Jarry showcased his exemplary performance at the 2024 Argentina Open, where he registered his 100th career win defeating Stan Wawrinka to reach the quarterfinals of the tournament. With the win, he became the eighth Chilean man in the Open Era to reach that number. He amazed tennis fans by reaching the final of the tournament, defeating World No. 2 Carlos Alcaraz in the semifinal.
