Jalen Green was one of the most hyped prospects before he entered the NBA. This was because of his athleticism and Filipino background. Staying in front of Jalen Green is a problem because of his quick first step and burst of speed, with which he attacks the basket. He is one of the fastest players in the league and is only 21 years old. While the Rockets are not a championship-contending team yet, Green’s potential is scary for the rest of the league.

Green was the second overall pick in the 2021 draft, behind Cade Cunningham. He was the FIBA Under-17 World Cup MVP in 2018, McDonald's All-American in 2020, and NBA All-Rookie First Team in 2022.

In the 2022/23 season, Green played 76 games for the Rockets and averaged 22.1 points, 3.7 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game. He shot 41.6% from the field, including 33.8% from deep.

Jalen Green’s Vertical

Jalen Green’s official vertical is not available on the internet. Despite that, Green sometimes looks like he can jump straight to the moon. NBA fans got the first taste of Green’s vertical when he caught a pass that was way higher than his height. It was a game against the San Antonio Spurs (in his rookie season) and that catch was ridiculous.

Green has made many posterizing dunks. In a recent interview with Paul George on his podcast, “Podcast P with Paul George,” Green said that he saw his vertical at “50” inches on the stats sheet. Many fans believe that is not true but at the same time, if you watch Jalen Green take off for a dunk, he may not have been lying there.

Green also said that the first time he ever dunked was in “Sixth grade,” which is hard to comprehend.
