Jayson Tatum is an American professional forward for the Boston Celtics in the 2025 NBA season. The Celtics drafted Tatum with the third overall pick in the first round of the 2017 NBA Draft. As of March 2025, he has played eight seasons in the NBA solely with the Celtics. He has already made five conference finals and two NBA finals, winning the NBA championship in the 2023-24 season. Tatum has also made the playoffs every single season of his NBA career.

Jayson Tatum, alongside Jaylen Brown, has kept the Celtics as one of the top title-contending teams in recent seasons. Tatum averaged 18.5 points, 4.4 rebounds and 2.7 assists as a rookie in the 2017-18 NBA playoffs, as per Basketball Reference. He had shown flashes of brilliance in the match-up against LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2018 Eastern Conference Finals. Tatum is a six-time All-Star, who has averaged 23.6 points and shoots the ball at 46.0%, including 37.1% from deep. In the 2023-24 season, Tatum averaged 26.9 points per game in 74 games played. Jayson Tatum officially launched his first signature shoe with the Jordan brand in 2023. The signature shoe is called Jordan Tatum 1 and is available worldwide. The shoes were released on April 7, 2023, for both men and women.

The Tatum 1s were designed to complement Tatum’s game. The shoe features lightweight construction, it features a large Zoom Air bag that helps provide cushion and responsiveness, without sacrificing court feel and a forefoot Zoom Air unit for Tatum’s explosiveness.
