Born on October 2, 1987 in Adelaide, South Australia, Joe Ingles is an Australian professional basketball player who plays for the Orlando Magic. After going undrafted in 2009, Ingles was picked by the Utah Jazz in 2014.


Ingles' professional basketball journey began in Australia, playing for the South Dragons. In his third season, he took the team to their maiden NBL championship. He was named on the All-NBL third team and the best Australian International Player of the Year.


Ingles has also represented the Australian Boomers in numerous international tournaments. He has led his team to the FIBA Oceania Championship final thrice and helped them claim gold twice, in 2011 and 2013. He also won the bronze for Australia at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.


Throughout his NBA career, Ingles has been regarded as one of the better shooters and high IQ guys in the league. He went on to play eight seasons for the Jazz, and is currently ranked 12th in most matches played for the franchise.


Joe Ingles College

Jos Ingles attended both Lake Ginninderra College and the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) in Canberra. Ingles represented AIS in the South East Australian Basketball League from 2005 to 2006. He played there with the future NBA player and international teammate Patty Mills. The SEABL conferences are considered the strongest in the ABA, it is a second tier national competition to the NBL.
