Joe Ingles was born on October 2, 1987, in Adelaide, South Australia. The 36-year-old veteran sharpshooter plays for the Orlando Magic and has the versatility to play in the guard-forward role.


Before the NBA, Ingles played for the South Dragons of the NBL. His first season in the Australian league earned him the NBL Rookie of the Year award. In his third season, he took the South Dragons to their maiden NBL championship and was named in the All-NBL Third Team and the best Australian International Player of the Year.


Ingles then signed for the Spanish club CB Granada of Liga ACB. He played there for one season and then got transferred to FC Barcelona, where he played for two seasons, and won the Spanish league and the Spanish super cup twice (2011, 2012).


Ingles played one season for the Israeli club Maccabi Tel Aviv, which was coached by NBA coach David Blatt. Joe Ingles went on to win major titles at Maccabi Tel Aviv, winning the treble in 2013/14 Israeli League, Israeli Super Cup and the Euro League. He played a valuable role coming off the bench and scoring efficiently. Joe Ingles also won the Bronze medal with Australia in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
