How much is Rudy Gobert getting paid?

Rudy Gobert is one of the NBA’s most well-known international players who has made a name for himself with his exceptional skills and dedication towards the sport.

Born in Saint-Quentin, France, Gobert’s inspiration to take up basketball was his father Rudy Bourgarel who played college basketball in the United States for three years before returning to Europe to play pro ball in France.

After spending four years learning the game and competing as a junior athlete with Saint-Quentin BB, Gobert joined Chloe Basket in 2007 and played for the franchise’s junior team from 2009 to 2011.

Gobert eventually debuted for the senior team in 2011 and played 23 games in his first season, averaging 4.7 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks per game. In his second season, Gobert showed slight improvements, scoring 8.4 points, 5.4 rebounds, and nearly two blocks per contest.

After only 50 games with Chloe Basket, Gobert declared for the 2013 NBA Draft and was picked 27th overall by the Utah Jazz.

Having played ten seasons in the NBA, Gobert has earned considerable success, a reputation, and lots of money.

Rudy Gobert Contract

Rudy Gobert is in his third year of the five-year $205 Million contract signed in December 2020. The deal includes $205 Million guaranteed and a final-year player option with an average annual salary of $41 Million. In 2023-24, Gobert is expected to earn a base salary of $41 Million.

After just one season of signing his professional career’s most lucrative deal, Gobert was traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves in exchange for Malik Beasley, Leandro Bolmaro, Patrick Beverley, Jarred Vanderbilt, draft rights to 2022 first-round pick Walker Kessler, and more.

Gobert’s previous contract was a four-year $102 Million deal which included $94 Million guaranteed and an average salary of $25 Million. This deal was an extension of Gobert’s rookie contract worth $5.5 Million dollars which he had signed in July of 2013.

During his time with the Jazz, Gobert led the team in rebounds and blocks for eight seasons and averaged double-doubles (rebounds and points) for six seasons straight. His contributions helped Utah to reach the Western Conference semifinals three times but each time got eliminated.
