Kawhi Leonard, also known as “The Klaw,” is one of the best two-way players in the NBA. He is one of the best mid-range shooters in the league, can knock down the three, and also throw vicious dunks, posterizing other players. Leonard is also elite on the defensive side of the floor and has won two Defensive Player of the Year awards.

The five-time All-Star started his NBA career playing for the San Antonio Spurs under Gregg Popovich. Popovich is arguably the best head coach in the NBA and asks his players to play the best defense that they can. Leonard in his rookie season was playing alongside other hall of famers Tim Duncan, Tony Parker, Manu Ginobli, and many others. After Zaza Pachulia injured Leonard with a dirty play by keeping his foot under Leonard’s landing space, Leonard never played for the Spurs again. Some reports say that the Spurs organization did not do enough for Leonard’s recovery when he was injured and this led to him being frustrated with the way things were handled. In the summer of 2018, Leonard demanded to be traded and Toronto Raptors took his talents right away.

Leonard only played a single season as a Raptor but he delivered a championship to them. He knocked down some of the biggest game winning shots to advance to conference finals and ultimately defeated Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Bucks to play against the Golden State State Warriors in the Finals. The Warriors were a juggernaut of a team, but injuries to their two superstars, Klay Thompson and Kevin Durant, made them lose to the Raptors in six games.

Kawhi Leonard was a champion yet again and won his second finals MVP. This solidified Leonard’s career as an all time great and is now hunting for his third chip with Paul George and the Clippers.
