Kawhi Leonard, also known as “The Klaw,” is one of the best two-way players in the NBA. He is one of the best mid-range shooters in the league, can knock down the three, and also throw vicious dunks, posterizing other players. Leonard is also elite on the defensive side of the floor and has won two Defensive Player of the Year awards.

The five-time All-Star started his NBA career playing for the San Antonio Spurs under Gregg Popovich. Popovich is arguably the best head coach in the NBA and asks his players to play the best defense that they can. Leonard in his rookie season was playing alongside other hall of famers Tim Duncan, Tony Parker, Manu Ginobli, and many others. Leonard won his first championship with the Spurs and was also named the Finals MVP in 2014.

Many thought that after Tim Duncan retired, Leonard was going to be the next superstar to represent the Spurs but that did not happen. After Zaza Pachulia injured Leonard with a dirty play by keeping his foot under Leonard’s landing space, Leonard never played for the Spurs again. Some reports say that the Spurs organization did not do enough for Leonard’s recovery when he was injured and this led to him being frustrated with the way things were handled. In the summer of 2018, Leonard demanded to be traded and Toronto Raptors took his talents right away.

Leonard only played a single season as a Raptor but he delivered a championship to them. He knocked down some of the biggest game winning shots to advance to conference finals and ultimately defeated Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Bucks to play against the Golden State State Warriors in the Finals. The Warriors were a juggernaut of a team, but injuries to their two superstars, Klay Thompson and Kevin Durant, made them lose to the Raptors in six games.

Kawhi Leonard was a champion yet again and won his second finals MVP. This solidified Leonard’s career as an all time great and is now hunting for his third chip with Paul George and the Clippers.

Kawhi Leonard Wingspan

Kawhi Leonard has a 7 ‘3’ wingspan. His height, frame, and reach allows him to lockdown the best offensive players and also play elite on the offensive side of the floor. He has some of the biggest hands ever amongst the giants that have played in the NBA.

He once measured his hands with Shaq and his hands were of similar size. There was a picture surrounding Leonard holding two bottles of gatorade during a game and fans were amazed to see how easily he held them.

Leonard is a freak of an athlete. His wingspan and his hand size gives him various perks. For example, dunking a basketball is much easier with big hands than it is with smaller hands, a player can palm the ball, a player can strip other players easily, and can block shots.

Kawhi Leonard Shoes

The Klaw’s shoes are called The KAWHI. They are Leonard’s signature shoeline with New Balance. The shoe features Fuelcell midsole for responsive cushioning, a kinetic stitch upper for lightweight support, and a data driven traction pattern for optimal grip. The shoe is made specifically for on court performance but can also be used for regular use.

Leonard signed with New Balance after his Jordan deal expired in 2018. Leonard was chosen as the face of New Balance. Prior to Leonard, New Balance’s basketball line of shoes were not known and dormant. Leonard reportedly makes around $5.5 million every year from his shoe deal that he signed with New Balance.

Even though Leonard does not use social media apps, he has a huge fan base and is one of the most famous athletes in the world. This has helped New Balance gain huge popularity across the world, and all the credit goes to the Klaw.
