Lonzo Ball is an American professional basketball point guard who plays for the Chicago Bulls in the National Basketball Association (NBA).

Born October 27, 1997, in Anaheim, California, to parents LaVar and Tina Ball, Lonzo Ball grew up in a basketball family. He attended Chino Hills High School, where he won numerous accolades, including the Naismith Prep Player of the Year, Morgan Wootten National Player of the Year and and Mr. Basketball USA.

Ball was rated as a consensus five-star recruit at the end of his senior high school season and was ranked No. 4 overall in the 2016 class. For college, he committed to University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), and played for the Bruins for one season.

After one season where he earned consensus first-team All-American honors, Ball was selected by the Los Angeles Lakers with the second overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft. He was named to the NBA All-Rookie Second Team in his debut NBA season.

However, in a blockbuster trade involving Anthony Davis, Ball was traded by the Lakers to the New Orleans Pelicans in 2019. He was subsequently traded to the Chicago Bulls on August 8, 2021, after two seasons with the Pelicans.

Currently sidelined with a long term knee injury, Ball is on a four-year $80 million contract with the Bulls.
