Precious Achiuwa, born in Port Harcourt, Nigeria on September 19, 1999, is a power forward for the New York Knicks in the National Basketball Association (NBA), as of May 2025. His family moved to the United States and settled in New York when he was a teenager. As a five-star recruit out of high school, he played college basketball for the Memphis Tigers between 2019 and 2020.
Achiuwa, who won the AAC Freshman of the Year as well as AAC Player of the Year in 2020, was drafted as the 20th overall by the Miami Heat in the 2020 NBA draft. In 2021, he was traded to the Toronto Raptors, where he averaged 9.2 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 0.9 assists in the 2022-23 NBA regular season. The Nigerian averaged 7.7 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game for the Raptors in the 2023-24 regular season.
