Born on October 30, 1966, in Mercer Island, Washington, Quin Snyder is serving as the head coach for the Atlanta Hawks as of 2024. Before assuming the Head Coaching job in Atlanta, Snyder served as the Utah Jazz Head Coach between 2014-2022. The Utah Jazz hired Snyder to be the team's head coach in June of 2014, and his stint with the Jazz lasted for eight years before Snyder's resignation in 2022. As part of the Jazz coaching staff, Snyder received three contracts in eight years. Snyder never played professional basketball but was well-known in the state basketball circuit during his playing years. In 2022, Snyder returned to Atlanta for his second stint.

Quin was a two-time state basketball player of the year and led his Mercer Island High School basketball team to the 1985 state championship. Snyder was bestowed with the McDonald's All-American first-team honor and made history by becoming the first player chosen from Washington.
