Son of former NBA legend Manute Bol, Bol Bol is a 7’3” center/power forward who plays for the Phoenix Suns. He started playing basketball at an early age, and emerged as one of the best prospects to ever play high school basketball.

Born in Khartoum, Sudan, Bol Bol's family left their home country to pursue a more promising and fulfilling life in the United States and settled in Olathe, Kansas. He trained with his father in his early years and learned the essential aspects of the sport that went on to define his on-court successes later on.

Fuelled with potential, Bol Bol developed his skill set and steadily became a popular high school athlete nationwide over the course of his sophomore season. By the time he transferred to Findlay Prep from Mater Dei High School, Bol Bol had developed into a bonafide star with his name rising up the rankings.

After a short but promising freshman season in college, Bol Bol got picked 44th overall by the Denver Nuggets in 2019. The five-year veteran has since played for the Nuggets, the Orlando Magic, and now the Phoenix Suns.

Bol Bol College

Bol Bol played one season of college ball for the University of Oregon. He made his debut for the Oregon Ducks on November 6, 2018, where he registered 12 points and 12 rebounds along with three blocks. In his next game against the Eastern Washington Eagles, Bol Bol had a stat line of 23 points, 12 rebounds and four blocks on an impressive 56.3% shooting from the field.

As Bol Bol played more games, he showcased his dominant shot-blocking skills and guard-like movements, soon attracting the attention of every top NBA and even international scouts who were very interested in Bol’s elite-level gameplay. His standout performance came against the Texas Southern Tigers, where he put up a commendable 32 points, 12 rebounds and two steals.

Due to a left foot injury, Bol Bol’s college career was cut short and he just played nine games as a freshman, and averaged 21 points, 9.6 rebounds, 1.0 assists, and 2.7 blocks per game.

Bol Bol Draft

In March 2019, Bol Bol declared for the 2019 NBA Draft, but serious foot injury and skipping the 2019 Draft combine negatively impacted Bol’s Draft chances, leading him to be picked 44th overall by the Denver Nuggets.
