Bol Bol is a South Sudanese-American basketball player who dons the jersey of Phoenix Suns in the NBA. Born on November 16, 1999, The 7-foot-3 center/power forward is the second child of the former NBA star Manute Bol and his wife Ajok Kuag. His dad, Manute, was one of the tallest players in NBA history.


Bol Bol's unique name carries a special meaning as he was named after his late great-grandfather, Bol Chol Bol, who was not only a great-grandfather, but also a chief of the Dinka people situated in modern day South Sudan. When Bol Bol was just two years old, his father made a significant move to settle in Connecticut as designated political refugees. This was where Bol Bol’s own journey towards basketball stardom began.


With his amazing physical attributes, Bol Bol quickly became a five-star rated high school prospect and played for the Oregon University. In the 2019 NBA Draft, he was chosen with the 44th overall pick by the Miami Heat. However, his draft rights were later traded to the Denver Nuggets.


Standing at an impressive 7 feet 3 inches, Bol Bol possesses tremendous physical attributes, making him a unique player often referred to as a "unicorn" in the NBA. Despite his promising start with the Denver Nuggets, he was eventually traded to the Orlando Magic, and later to the Phoenix Suns.
