Karl-Anthony Towns, also known as KAT, plays for the Minnesota Timberwolves in the NBA. Born on November 15, 1995, Towns hails from Edison, New Jersey, where he led his high school team to the state championship. He then played one college season with the Kentucky Wildcats, where he averaged 10.3 points and 6.7 rebounds per game over 39 games.

In the 2015 NBA draft, the Minnesota Timberwolves selected Towns with the first overall pick, and he won the NBA Rookie of the Year award in 2016.
