Kentavious Caldwell-Pope Conference Finals Record

Across his 11-year NBA career, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope has made it to the Conference finals in the NBA playoffs twice so far. His appearance in the conference was in the 2019-2020 NBA season when he was a part of the Los Angeles Lakers. His second appearance was in the 2022-23 NBA season when he was on the Denver Nuggets roster.

Interestingly, it is seen that Caldwell-Pope has won the championship each time he made it to the NBA Conference finals. His first conference finals were against the Denver Nuggets, where the duo of Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray were pitched against Los Angeles Lakers’ Lebron James and Anthony Davis. Aside from the strong performance from the Lakers’ star duo, other players on the roster contributed effectively. The Lakers ultimately won the series 4-1 against the Nuggets and went on to win the NBA championship against the Miami Heat.

Caldwell-Pope’s second conference Finals was against the Los Angeles Lakers. With KCP playing for the Nuggets this time, the star power of Lebron James and Anthony Davis was inadequate to overpower the Nuggets and the Lakers were swept out of the title race.

In the midst of the 2023-24 NBA playoffs, KCP finds himself in familiar territory as he attempts to help the Nuggets beat the Minnesota Timberwolves for back-to-back NBA championships.
