Where did Cameron Ward go to College?

Cameron Ward is a collegiate American football player looking to make his way to the NFL as a quarterback. The collegiate level has a lot of talent and depth in the 2024 NFL Draft class and therefore it is increasingly difficult for players to stand out. Ward is one such player who has ample skill and has the physicality to be NFL-ready, but he is still improving his craft.

Initially, having declared for the 2024 NFL Draft in January 2024, Ward reversed his decision within a couple of weeks and has now joined the University of Miami where he will play for the Miami Hurricanes in 2024.

The Texas native is a talented signal caller who has shown dual-threat abilities during his four years in college. He is considered to have a good pocket presence and an exceptional ability to escape from trouble as the pocket collapses. He also possesses a tremendous ability to fit the ball in tight windows and is efficient with off-platform throws as well.

Ward has had a stellar career in college football up to now over the course of four years. He has already developed arm strength at the NFL level and has several key attributes that can help him achieve success at the highest level of the game. Before joining the University of Miami, Ward had played college football first for Incarnate Word Cardinals and then for the Washington State Cougars.

The talented signal caller started his college football experience playing for the Incarnate Word Cardinals in 2020. In the two years he played for them, Ward put up nearly 7,000 passing yards and had 71 touchdowns.

Ward then transferred to Washington State University and played on the Cougars football team for another two years. Once again, he had nearly 7,000 passing yards but his touchdowns fell to only 48. Despite his overall good play, he still needs to work on his consistency and finds himself behind multiple quarterbacks in the 2024 draft class, which is probably the reason he has decided to play another year in college.

Ward was born in the city of Lake Jackson in Texas, and he completed his high school education at Columbia High School in West Columbia, Texas. He had a decent outing as a quarterback for his school’s football team but received only one scholarship offer from the University of the Incarnate Word.
