Derrick Harmon is a defensive tackle for the Pittsburgh Steelers of the NFL. The Steelers grabbed him in the first round of the 2025 NFL draft with the 21st overall pick. He formerly represented Michigan State and Oregon from 2021 to 2024. He played for the Michigan State Spartans for three seasons before taking his talents to Eugene in 2024. He appeared in 28 games for the Spartans, during which he recorded 71 total tackles, 7 tackles for loss, and 3.5 sacks. However, in his lone season with the Ducks football program, Harmon collected more sacks (5), tackles for loss (11), pass deflections (4), and forced fumbles (2) than he did during his entire three-year tenure at East Lansing.

According to Pro Football Focus, the defensive lineman earned an 83.9 overall grade from PFF for his 2024 season campaign.
