Miami Hurricanes offensive guard Javion Cohen was born on August 8, 2002, in Phenix City, Alabama. Initially committing to Alabama, Cohen appeared in five games recording 28 snaps and earning a spot in the SEC All-Freshman Team. In his second season at Crimson Tide, he started 14 games at left guard missing only one game. He accounted for 21 knockdown blocks and played 1,073 snaps that season. Following the end of the 2022 season, Cohen opted to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal committing to the Hurricanes later on.

Cohen in his debut season with Miami was named into second-team All-SEC by the league coaches as he started 10 games and came playing 554 total snaps and 17 knockdown blocks. Cohen played for the Central High School and was included in the top-15 player list in the state of Alabama. He was also ranked No. 9 by Rivals and the No. 15 player by the Composite. Cohen was selected to play in the 2019 Pro Football Hall of Fame World Bowl in Cancun, Mexico.

Cohen is projected to be drafted in round 6 by the NFL Draft after his performance at the 2024 Combine Event.
