He played at the University of Michigan from 2020 to 2024, winning a CFP national championship in 2023 and earning Third-Team All-Big Ten honors in 2024. In December 2024, he officially declared for the 2025 NFL Draft via his Instagram @kalelmullings.
Mullings played 56 games at Michigan, rushing for 1,201 yards and 16 touchdowns. He also recorded eight receptions for 67 yards in his college career and competed in the 2021 Orange Bowl, 2022 Fiesta Bowl, 2024 Rose Bowl, and 2024 CFP National Championship. Before committing to Michigan, he attended Milton Academy, where he was coached by Kevin MacDonald.
