Before the start of the 2021 college football season, Hadden had originally committed to play his college football for Auburn University but flipped his decision to play for the Tennessee Volunteers. He played as a cornerback and showed flashes of his potential when he was on the field.

Hadden was born on January 17, 2001, at Ypsilanti, Michigan. He attended River Rouge High School and was a three-star recruit coming out of high school. Hadden started his college football career in 2019, playing for Independence, and in his true freshman season, he totaled 21 tackles, a single tackle for loss, 3 forced fumbles, and 1 interception. Due to the 2020 season being cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, in 2021, playing for the Volunteers, Hadden made two starts in seven games that he played. He recorded 17 tackles, an interception, and 2 tackles for loss.

Unfortunately, Hadden underwent a season-ending shoulder surgery in his final season, which resulted in him only playing in 7 games. The 2023 season was where Hadden was supposed to have a breakout season as he had established himself as one of the top lockdown cornerbacks in the SEC conference. In all the games that Hadden played, he did not give up a single touchdown pass.
